چکیده
ABSTRACT BACKGROUND: The use of patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs) for knee pathology may be affected by socioeconomic factors, language barriers and time constraints in busy outpatient clinics. squat-and-smile test (SST) is an example such a that has previously been validated femur fractures. aim this study was to validate the SST against other PROMs patients with METHODS: Patients presenting subspecialist clinic large hospital sub-Saharan Africa were approached participate. They asked squat depth as well need support themselves classified into four categories. To describe their pain, participants also selected one three smiley faces (unhappy, neutral, smiling). These scores correlated patient's Knee injury Osteoarthritis Outcome Score (KOOS), Tegner Lysholm score EQ-5D RESULTS: Seventy (median age 53.4 years) included. moderately KOOS (r=0.56) poorly (r=0.46; r=0.43). had poor correlations KOOS, (r=0.29; r=0.31; r=0.31), did face component (r=0.40; r=0.32; r=0.30 CONCLUSION: For pathology, correlates PROMs. It could therefore used settings which conventional have limited application. Support needed squat, visual analogue scale faces, correlation when compared should not assessment Level evidence: 4 Keywords: smile, PROM,

Correlation of Single Assessment Numeric Evaluation (SANE) with other Patient Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs)
Background: The Single Assessment Numeric Evaluation (SANE) is a simple, one-question patient-reported outcomemeasure (PROM). We systematically reviewed correlations between SANE and more extensive PROMs.Methods: We identified studies with correlation coefficients between SANE and other shoulder, knee, and anklespecificPROMs. We calculated mean, median and range across studies...

BACKGROUND Improvements in pain, function, and patient satisfaction are used to evaluate the outcomes of hip arthroscopic surgery. PURPOSE To identify correlations between the visual analog scale (VAS) score for pain and patient satisfaction with 4 commonly used patient-reported outcome (PRO) scores to determine to what extent changes in these 2 parameters are reflected in each of the PRO sco...
